About Ricki Naqvi

• Based in the heart of London, A graduate of De Montfort University, Leicester, Ricki has majored in Media, Film and Television studies and is actively working towards a successful media career. From a young age Ricki loved the stage and loved the attention he got from an audience. His first performance was an Elvis tribute in 1st school. This gave birth to his dream of stardom.
  
  As a model, Ricki’s infectious smile, heartthrob looks and sexy physique has invited him to grace catwalks all over the UK showcasing men’s high fashion couture. He has completed several photographic modeling assignments for major brand labels and has also participated in the Mr Asia UK Pageant which positioned him 2nd runner up.
  
  With an obsessive passion for theatre, Ricki has starred in several local and international productions. He has appeared in a Bollywood movie and has completed several music videos and short films including one for the BBC. (Many can be seen in the video section.) He starred in Blaise Johal’s ‘Bad Karma’ as Jai. When interviewed by a leading newspaper recently about his role, Ricki described it as being ‘real’; he went on to say, “The character I play is an exaggerated version of myself, I live everyday as if I am in a Bollywood movie.”
  

A highly skilled dancer, Ricki loves to choreograph and dance. He’s performed on many stages throughout the country at various melas, wedding exhibitions and charity shows, showcasing Bollywood and western style dance routines. Known for his Michael Jackson moves and Shah Rukh Khan performances, Ricki repeatedly gets a standing ovation from audiences and is always welcomed back to deliver more. His dazzling and dramatic use of props during live performances including acrobatics and magic tricks have become part of his trademark.

He has worked hard to identify a unique approach to music, theatre and dance that combines both the east and west! He is just as skilled behind the camera, having studied film production and script writing. He enjoys mixing music and often creates the mixes used in his performances. Ricki is one half of the dance act STYLEZ ENTERTAINMENT.

2008 saw him complete two music videos in the leading role, as well as several live dance shows and model for the PUREDESI clothes line.

2009 was a progressive year for Ricki, completing three more music videos DJ Gurps ft Manak-E - Ous Kurri which still remains the most viewed video by VIPRECORDS on Youtube, AC's Grime Video - I Gotta Work and the eye catching music video titled "Mitran Ne Dittiyan" by Gurbhej Brar which currently is on the exclusive play list at Brit Asia TV, Sky digital channel 833. Ricki plays a soldier returning from the army.

He also took on several business ventures. He stepped into office as Artistic and Creative director of the Mrs India UK Pageant. This roll sees him take his artistic skills to the international stage. He is also co-managing the events management company ‘The Kingdom of Bollywood’. Ricki was invited to perform at the internationally acclaimed Zee Carnival 2009. He rocked the Kensington Olympia with his intricate dance steps and easily got the crowd to join in!

Having been cast as the leading role, Ricki has completed filming a British feature film titled 'New Girlfriend'. The story revolves around Ray (Ricki Naqvi) and his philandering ways with women until one of the girls he pulled dies under mysterious circumstances. Ray becomes the main suspect and attempts to unfold the twisted truth behind the girl's death.

Ricki also completed an action film titled 'Paper Trail' in which he fights four thugs in the back streets. He also stars in the ambitious gangster movie by F. S. Khan, 'Breathe'.

A 2010 Mister UK finalist, he has been signed as co-lead in his next feature film, 'Life of the Party' and a new TV/web series 'The Hot House'. He has recently been cast as in supporting role in Sid Sharma’s British feature film tentatively titled, ‘Bad Blood’.

Having worked with various professionals in the industry, a hot new addition to the UK Performing arts scene, Ricki Naqvi is setting an exciting new standard for UK talent and the world alike. His immense talent coupled with his charm and youthful enthusiasm will leave you in no doubt that we have an artist, a new comer who’s the epitome of an artist for the millennium!
